Colonel WindPipes Marching Band!

First off I must say I absolutely love Flickr for any of you who haven't heard of it, it is a site where you upload your photos, and is used by many creatives as a way of showcasing their work. There are groups you can join to network with people interested in similar things and it can lead to collaborations. To me it's also like having a never ending book of inspiration! I currently prefer it to sites like Deviant Art as it is so much simpler and cleaner! I really do still need to wrap my head round Deviant Art, there's just so many options!

So now to get to the point! Colonel WindPipes Marching Band is a collaboration between illustrators UberKraft and Lesley Barnes. They have invited people to join their flickr group to contribute to the band with their own weird and wonderful creations. They want to eventually turn the characters into a huge collaborative print that would be sold for charity. Above is my first contribution (you can submit as many as you like) Sgt Harold Hermington playing his pocket trumpet. So if you're on flickr check it out!

Toe Fluff update!

So i have neglected my blog a little bit recently (partly due to a lovely holiday in the camper van). Here's just a quick one to get me back into things. If you have read this blog before you may have seen me talk about illustrator Steve Rack's http://www.steverack.com/ Toe Fluff project. He invented the character Toe Fluff for children, and in 2010 he invited people to make their own custom version of toe fluff. I jumped at the chance and was excited to hear that my image was one of the 150 chosen to be included in the exhibition in Swindon, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
